I'm shopping for a Circular Polarizer . The widest lens I have is the 16-35mm. I tried my standard B+W UV filter and it doesn't appear to vignette the corners. The polarizers are a little thicker though. Will I need to purchase a slim version or will the standard one be ok?..one less lens cap to appease the river gods.
Thanks. Steve.

If you have a cropped DSLR, the standard one will do.

Thanks...I should have mentioned I'm using a 5D.

Go for a slim filter. I've found that a normal polarizer is already at the limit at 24mm on the 24-105 f/4 lens.
