Title: Mono-pod heads
Post by: BernardLanguillier on January 21, 2015, 05:49:16 pm
Interesting video Michael.

One alternative to the gimbal head is this device from RRS that I have been using for a couple of years now when shooting with 300mm f2.8/400mm f2.8 on mono-pod.

I have been using it with the RRS monopod that is also both light and very robust.

One advantage is that, since it is possible to change the orientation of the clamp, this can also be used when mounting the camera directly to the monopod for those shorter lenses without tripod collar.

Cheers,
Bernard
