Title: Blind Squirrel Scenario
Post by: wmchauncey on January 21, 2015, 05:26:35 pm
Finding a decent image purely by accident is somewhat frustrating...especially if it's caused by accident.

I had this pot of orchids that fell off the stand and broke several blooms off the stem. Wanting to salvage
the shoot, I just held one with a pair of forceps and lucked into this. A viewpoint that I've never pulled
off to my satisfaction. Sometimes ya just get lucky!     ::)

Amazing. It is weird but it works.

Another very nice image from you orchid set of shots.  I like macros with a shallow DoF.  It really works for your shot!

Two more from the same shoot...one stacked and one edge focused.  Which it more pleasing?

My choice would be the second image.  I'm a shallow DoF nut.

I go for the second, too, because it is a quite unusual way of seeing.
