Title: Canyons

Dead Horse State Park, Utah in the morning light. Our first visit and I'm sure we'll return. What a place!

Classic western landscape, wonderful. Not sure if it would be possible, but I would like to see the curve of the river not "cut" by the rock?

This comment has nothing to do with the image, which I think is very nicely done, but more about Dead Horse Point and the sight-lines/compositions there in general. Please don't take this as a "critique" of the image as this comment is in no way reflects on the image itself (which I like very much). The image just toggled my previously held thoughts on the subject...

One thing that has always bugged me about this location (dead horse point state park) is the fact that the river disappears behind the low butte there on the lower right of the frame. That break in continuity, for what ever reason, really gets under my skin. Alas, there's nothing we can do about it as photographers except wait several thousand years for erosion to do it's thing. :)

Anyway nice image and thanks for letting me vent.
