Title: Getting some Metadata fields from C1Pro to show in Windows File Explorer.
Post by: geezerhood on January 18, 2015, 07:16:45 pm
I want to enter information from within C1Pro and have it show up in the following fields for that file when I right click on a file in Windows File Explorer, then choose Properties then the Details tab. When I enter some info in EVERY metadata field from within  the C1Pro metadata menu, nothing at all shows up under Windows Explorer / Properties / Details.

Title
Subject
Rating
Tags
Comments

I get some of them to work from the Windows side of it, but that is not how I want to do it. I can input data in the fields above in Windows Explorer in the tab Properties / Details tab and apply them to the file. Then if I want them to show in C1Pro I have to choose Load Metadata from the right click menu for the file. This over writes the corresponding fields in the C1Pro Metadata but only the Title, Tag and Rating show up in C1Pro.  The others do not change.

Where do you find the metadata fields shown in Windows File Explorer for Subject and Comments in C1Pro or are those not actually Metadata fields?

Is there any way to generate the information for those fields listed above in C1Pro and then embed them in the file so it will show up under the Properties / Details menu in Windows Explorer?  I have read the tutorials on Metadata at Capture One and was not able to figure out how to make it work.
