Title: Alpenglow 2
Post by: KMRennie on January 12, 2015, 10:30:15 am
From September last Year. Taken a little after sunset in Chamonix. The mountain kept swimming in and out view with mist and clouds. I am unsure about the best colour balance for a shot like this. In the end I have used daylight, anyone have any views on this? Fuji XE-1 with XC 50-230 at approx 100mm. I may have posted one like this before but it was very soft 1/5s. I have looked through all of the similar shots and found the sharpest.

Wonderful light. I like the WB as it is, after all, it is warm light.

By any chance, would it be possible to shoot this scene including also the "V" in the mountain in the bottom? That would make a nice complement to the mountain.

The light is lovely. I agree with Paulo that including the apex of the V of trees would make the shot even better.

Gorgeous and rich light on those aiguilles. Graphically, there's also plenty of triangles and I like that a lot.

+1, especially all the triangular elements.

Very nice shot. The white balance works well at daylight WB.

Wonderful shot. I wouldn't change a thing (except, optionally, to include the apex of the "V" of trees).

Provided that there's a "V" in the trees!  ;)

No V available, I could fake one however!
