Has anyone played with printing on transparent film as a final art. Bought the pictorico inkjet transparency film and it's kind of milky but nice. Sadly there is no profile for a 3880. I've got an ok image just using epson's glossy profile but wondering if there is a better option? Hoping to put on light boxes like an X-ray but need decent saturation. Thanks.

I know there is some material that shops call "window hang" or backlit film.
I have a roll from Oce, yet to try it.

Inkpress makes a number of films in varying thickness & transparency.
It'd be a challenge to profile some of them I'd guess.
Pictorico does indicate that ink loading and/or saturation needs to be bumped for better output of their film.

Here is a listing for film from the
Encyclopedia of Photographic and Fine Art Ink Jet Printing Media
Volume 3 - Chapter 4
Film
Arista II OHP Transparency Film 7 mil E.U. 2013
Bergger PN100 OHP Digital Darkroom Film France
Grafix Transparency Sheets
Inkpress Backlight film 7 mil
Inkpress Clear Film
Inkpress Transparency Film 7 mil
Inkpress White Gloss Film 7 mil
Jacquard Solar Fast Film 4 mil
Oriental Graphica Inkjet Film Japan
Pictorica Premium OHP Transparency Film 5.2 mil Japan
Pictorica ultra Premium OHP Transparency Film 5.7 mil Japan
I've used them all. Pictorica Premium OHP Transparency Film and Pictorica ultra Premium OHP Transparency Film are my favorite. They all work good to very good.
Inkpress also makes a self adhesive film.

Unless you've got a printer that uses white ink you'll want "back lit film" not transparency film. The transparent would work if you were to laminate it to a white substrate such as painted aluminum.

for me, the best transparent is still duraclear printed photographically (on a light jet)
