A lone sheep in the ancient woodland of Black 'a' Tor Copse, Dartmoor.

I love the tangle...and the balance.

Thanks Peter

A subtle understanding of the animal mind.

That's looking, Bill. Good shot.

It sure is.

Thanks for the positive comments. The sheep's fleece is blown a bit, but the next shot after adjusting my exposure has the head turned away, and doesn't work as well.

Nice shot Bill, the B&W works out very well. Everytime I hear or read Dartmoor I immediately think of The Hound Of The Baskervilles
-
So this is the Sheep of the Baskervilles? ;)
The mood certainly fits.

My son found the skull of one of these, wih horns intact. So he placed it high up in the branches of one of the oaks. Any future passer-by who notices it, might well imagine what sort of beast had dragged it up there :)

Sheep seriously blown, and too much contrast overall. The human eye seeks grey!
-
I did mention that the sheep is a bit over exposed

Yes, it has the mood.
