Title: Photos of Beautiful Ice Sculptures
Post by: Slobodan Blagojevic on December 25, 2014, 06:38:44 pm
A link to photographs from my former home country (former in both senses: that I am not there anymore, and that the country itself isn't there anymore ;))

I've seen similar (but much less spectacular) formations on windy mountain tops, but these are really special.

I'm glad that you are doing much better than your former home country, Slobodan.

Well any sensible country would close up shop after you left, Slobodan. Why carry on?

Rime ice can form some spectacular formations, as these images show.  An interesting fact that is not obvious to most people is that rime ice belies the impression that it gives about which way the wind was blowing.  It grows into the wind and not away from it.
