When CC 2014 first came out, there seemed to be a lot folks having trouble with it. I believe there have been some (or at least one) subsequent updates. I held off on updating from CC to CC2014 to let Adobe resolve some issues (I know, I know, misplaced faith . . .) since I have a cleanly working software environment at this point. Plus, I wasn't ready to update some of the extensions/panels I use.
Is it safe to go into the water now with CC2014 (understanding there's never any guarantees and always potential for some thing to go awry).
Thanks!

Never had any problems per se in any of the CC builds. That isn’t to say there are no bugs, every product has them.

No problems here, either.
If CC 2014 gives you problems, you can always go back. The CC app offers Photoshop CC (2014), CC and CS6. In the CC App, go to the "Apps" tab, click the blue link centre right, below the list of installed apps, choose "previous versions" and then when you click "Install" for Photoshop, it lists all the versions. You can even have multiple versions installed at the same time.

There was one rather serious bug with CC2014 which broke auto blend/focus stacking/pano stitching. But it's fixed now.

that’s the only thing I’m aware of as well, and it wasn't too bad using CC instead of CC2014 for those functions. That occurred in the 1st or 2nd update to cc2014, been fixed for a while (although it should have warranted a more immediate bug fix/release, took them longer than it should have to fix it).

How about this bug?

According to lloyd chambers 100% is not 100% on a 4K Screen

How does that apply? Not a ps cc 2014 issue and related to an nec 4k display. seems to be a nec problem.

FWIW, CC crashes my Win7 computer (16 GB Dell Studio) frequently, often when files from the Sony a7r have a duplicate layer added. CC actually seems to be getting worse with time. Some internet postings suggested disabling the graphics card would help, but I'm not sure it made much difference. I use my old CS5 more and more.

Thanks, guys. Helpful info. I'll probably update in the near future.
