I wonder if I can get even a bigger discount if I buy 2 of them.

I bet some cynics take this as a sign that the Hasselblad Stellar is a failed product, but I see it as simply clearing out stock of the old model to make way for the glorious new Stellar II (http://www.hasselblad-stellar.com/stellar-ii.aspx).

Stellar!

Thanks for the chuckle, folks. Are these cameras in the Christmas catalog of Needless Markup (Neiman-Marcus)?

Stellar!
This deal has me over the Moon!

Maybe I'm in the wrong play...
"Hey Stellar! ...Stelllllar!..."

The Stellar is a Sony RX100 V1 http://www.stevehuffphoto.com/tag/hasselblad-stellar/
The Stellar II is a the RX100 Mark II http://www.popphoto.com/gear/2014/11/new-gear-hasselblad-stellar-ii-compact-camera-collectors
Of course Sony is up to the III.

Pentax/Ricoh has WAY more color combinations, and disco lights to boot.

I hate to admit it, but when I bought my film Hassys back in the '90s, if there had been Ferrari colored ones available for the same price as black or chrome ones, I probably would have grabbed one. Just for the whimsy factor. I often had curious onlookers come up and ask about my view cameras and MF gear in those days anyway, and it would have been fun to concoct some outrageous yarn to tell people. Like I retrieved it from the site of a Ferrari crash. Or when you send in a Hassy for a CLA, they just randomly recover them every once in a while, like finding a gold ticket in a Willy Wonka chocolate bar. Or maybe you get one for free when you buy a Ferrari, and one of my female clients gave me hers in return for a print I made of her cat.
