Title: Some from Muscat, Oman
Post by: Paulo Bizarro on November 03, 2014, 04:31:49 am
I was recently in Muscat, where I always try to make some time to go out and take some photos. I have lived there for a few years, and it is always a pleasure to return.

First is a classic view of the Grand Mosque by sunset, when the lights come up in the dome and minarets.

Second is also at sunset, but this time in the mountains behind Mutrah, during a small trek.

Regards.

PS - edit - more photos can be seen in my blog below.

The first one may be a classical image but I like how the colored patches of flowers complement the blue sky and the yellow lights on the mosque. I also like the second one with the layered landscape and the play of the light on the successive ridges/peaks. This image is an invitation to fly over that landscape.

Very nice, Paulo.
I wonder why there is a white border around the peak in the valley.

Thanks for the comments. The white border are houses, as these mountains are just behind the Mutrah Corniche.
