A friend who lives in Canada is getting more serious about her photography and has started using LR 5. I think she'd greatly benefit from "The Jeff and Mike Show" as I did when I was starting out. But, which video? I understand that their LR 5 video assumes knowledge of LR 4, but then the LR4 video does not cover the new features of LR5. Does she need both? Thanks.

Considering your friend is getting serious about photography and LR and assuming limited knowledge at the moment, what about Adobe TV learn LR5 http://tv.adobe.com/show/learn-lightroom-5/ as well as Jeff and Michaels LR 5?

Yes. The Lightroom 5 tutorial is simply a supplement to the Lightroom 4 tutorial.

I am a big fan of George Jardine's videos. They are not free, but I think good value, both the Library series and the Develop series. There is a free sample on the site to have a look at. They are at http://mulita.com (http://mulita.com)

I agree this is a great series.

I'd also recommend George Jardine's videos for someone just starting out.

Yes - GJ's videos are excellent (as are Michael & Jeff's).
