Title: a piece of history - MFDB's from 1991
Post by: EricWHiss on October 06, 2014, 03:17:07 am
I was visiting the DHW-fototecnik factory last month and I found these old digital backs in a glass case in the conference room.
Rolleiflex made digital backs more than 20 years ago.
The scan pack is from 1991 !    It has three different sensors on a rotating drum that revolves during exposure stopping briefly for each red, green and blue.

My issue 4/92 of Hasselblad Forum illustrates the DB4000 which integrated with the Macintosh II 2048 x 2048 monochrome 14 bit saved at 8 bit.

Unfortunate that there is no like button, I have nothing to contribute but I think it's interesting to see these old units :)
