Hi all,

Can I use a "Pentax DA-12-24, f/4 ED AL (IF) Lens" on our A7r, with what adapter, please ?

I read ith with very sharp image, color .....and all, a great lens for landscape use.

Somebody offering a used copy.

How will it perform on a Sony A7R, please....

That Pentax lens was designed for use with APS-C sensors. You'd likely see strong vignetting, or even complete image cutoff in the corners, if you used it on an A7r. You'd also need an adapter that provides aperture control since the lens has no aperture ring. Novoflex makes one (I own a copy), maybe there are others.

I'd recommend a lens designed for 35mm format sensors. Sigma makes such a 12–24mm…I owned the first version of it back in the early 2000s. It was pretty good, and I understand the second (latest?) version is at least as good.
