Title: "Comments" section in the right panel of "Library"
Post by: JGU1956 on September 27, 2014, 09:16:42 am
This is not a critical thing, but for some while I have wondered why there is a "Comments" feature in the Library module as it says "Selected service does not support comments" when I click on the triangle to expand the section.  Versions 3 and 4 of LR were the same I think.  It looks like a useful place to put information that has no obvious home in the metadata fields.  One can use the "Caption" field as a workaround I guess.  Any ideas/comments?

It's related to Publish Services, if the specific service allows commenting. If you publish with the Flickr service, for example, people can make comments on your images on Flickr and they will show up in the Comment section.
