Really nice image as mentioned.
It looks remarkably similar to the Black-backed Jackal - an Old World resident!

Pre-DNA analysis, the famous ethologist Konrad Lorenz was convinced that domesticated dogs came from jackals.
I like Edward Abbey's name for them:  God's Dog.
