Title: hungry pelican

I went for lunch at a restaurant right alongside the Berg river in Velddrif, west coast, South Africa earlier this week.  This little guy was hanging around outside obviously waiting for any freebies, never having seen one so up close before I was amazed by his size and also amused by his comical appearance.

His hair is perfect!! It MUST be  a toupee!! ;D ;D

He looks so forlorn... like he's forgotten how to fish and relies solely upon deep fried prawn handouts.  Or maybe he's just a foodie, and knows the alternatives are bleak.
