7 meters of rain a year here, many people dont get to see anything apart from rain. We camped, my tent poles froze into the tent, sunset, sunrise , terrible.
But oh my, clear skies! After a 4am start for Mt Cook and a 7 hour drive, and feeling really rough from a bug I dragged myself out and waited for the MW to drop in the sky just over the famous Mitre Peak. The tide rushing in during the 33 frames it took for the pano meant wet feet but that was totally worth it...

Stunning in every respect! In terms of nature herself, our ability to capture it with today's technology, and, of course, your own skill and vision to utilize it all. Hats off!
