I use a lot of Epson Enhanced Mat paper and it is very suseptable to maring, especially in dark areas. Could anyone recommend a protective spray for this material?
I have searched the archives with no luck.
Thanks in advance.

I have used Marshall's "Image Guard" spray and have been quite satisfied. You can get it at Dick Blick Art Supply online--they are great to deal with:

It's not cheap but it does afford a measure of protection to the prints.

Thanks for the tip. I will give it a try. It has to be cheaper than making another 13X19.

Mike: Wilhelm Research (the guru on image permanence) uses Premier Art Spray in his tests. If he uses it, I have to assume it is one of the best! Their site is here:

thanks dave. I have used it before also; I ordered a bunch of the Marshall frankly because i could add it to a big order from Blick and save the shipping!

I use Premier Art Shield as well - I frame most of my prints without glass or plexi, but it's not really much protection against marring.
