Fujifilm XT-1 is DLSR like while the older models are RF. Sony has the same move.
Lumix G seriers is DSLR like and the GX series is RF. I think G/GH sells better than GX.
Strange.

Taking a gander here, but it is probably about being a pro camera, which means extended/continuous usage, which means needing a more comfortable form factor. The DSLR form factor addresses that. If it weren't, people wouldn't be buying grips for their soap-bar style cameras.
In addition to that, I'm sure the form factor allows them volume to stuff more features in (as in mech/electronics).

No not strange. they appeal to the die hard dslr fan.
I'd prefer an affordable Leica rangefinder knockoff.
