Yesterday I might have shot my most impressive landscape photography yet. Nature is so powerful !! Nobody was shooting while they all have smart-phones and nature given me this ideal painting. Almost no processing, surprisingly, it was just magic. Shot with a DP3 Merrill.

I was spotting new path for my workshops and it was late. It was in France, North Brittany coast. Just Biblic. I seen The people on the hill after, at home. Happy me I had the polarizing filter :)

Thank you guys. The EPSON is heating, the PAR lights are on... time to make it real :)

I did some adjustments to up a bit the shadows.

Epic first image, I use the dp2 merrill for all of my work there is something magical
about the foveon sensor. It does the natural world justice.

Thank You ! I did some pre-prints and some adjustments for final results. My first photo is edited as well to show it :) Print is almost finished.

Wow! No disrespect meant, but it looks like a painting - one of those grand canvases of Constable.
It works as it is, but I think I like the warmer hues of the first enlarged section.
Is there any context available, something with just a bit more foreground? (But that's probably just me; I prefer some context, grounding, etc.)

Hello Luxborealis !

Yes it look like a water painting. The raw, original, a little bit less. This photo is uprezed to 50 Mp so it softened a bit and accentuated the water paint effect, very smooth. So I just loose myself contemplating the print who have a lot of interesting details and dynamics. It scream to be printed very, very huge. They you can see the details, the 3 guys on the hill Etc ... The cloud is above the sea. For the warmer hue, and for the icc profiles I did, it is not a good idea. I did a test and I always ended too orange and warm. So I decided to process a bit the colour balance to end where I wanted and the result is here  - Cheers :)
