Title: Easy to swap lens from Cambo mount to Linhof lens board?
Post by: rogerxnz on July 13, 2014, 03:07:06 pm
I have been offered a Rodenstock 28mm lens in a Cambo mount. I want to remove the lens from that mount and put it into a Linhof Techno lens board.

Is this an easy job or should I get a technician to do it?

Is there any value in the surplus Cambo mount? Anyone want it?

Hi Roger,

It is easy to change lens boards with a lens spanner.
I would close the lens shutter and the unscrew the rear elements from the shutter. I would please the rear element on the clean dust free surface and then with the spanner unscrew the locking ring.

Then transfer the front lens and shutter to the lens board and re screw the ring on. The pick up the rear elements keeping the elements point down so dust won’t fall on the inside elements and gently re screw them on.

All done.

Cheers

Simon

I managed to find a 28mm lens in a Techno lens board elsewhere.

So, the pictured 28mm lens in Cambo mount is available ex Paris for 3,000 euros.

If you are interested, let me know by PM and I will send your details to the vendor.
