Title: disappearance of the Medium Format forum

It seems that all posts and threads in the "Medium Format" forum have vanished.

Given the way the medium format companies and products are either vanishing or failing to appear as promissed, this seems almost an omen.

I was just thinking it was due to the forum crash. Any chance of its resurrection?

What's happening to this forum ??? A short time ago someone called seberri posted an image for comment. He didn't like some of the responses. There was a heated exchange and parts or all of some posts were mysteriously edited without trace, giving rise to speculation that seberri had hacked into the system.

It now appears that Neil, with administrative priveleges, deleted these posts himself without saying anything.

It's just happened again to me, except there was no heated exchange, just the mildest rebuke I could think of and clearly indicated as tongue in cheek with a big smilie.

The entire post has been deleted without so much as a 'How's your father!'

I executed the deletions at my own discretion. I have privately contacted those whose posts were deleted and to whom I owed an explanation.

My response in regard to the political discussion caused the deletion. Apparently, one can't defend their countrymen when insulted as a class. That is considered political. To be fair, it appears the insult was deleted as well.

No problem.

But - next time that happens I will respond in exactly the same manner.

sorry, the forum was lost in the database corruption that happened 9-12.  no conspiracy theories need be applied  :p
