I do like the first, though I wonder if you could open up the foreground shadows just a touch. I'm not keen on the second, which seems a bit dull - and the leaning flagpoles don't appeal.

Thanks, Jeremy. Here is the foreground opened a bit, I think it's better.
Flagpoles are a bane of Iceland church photography. I have cloned out a "leaner" from the white church.
Then there's the Reykjavik concert hall with the nearby light poles really leaning in towards it...

I agree, although you might have overdone it a bit in the pale area to the right.

But it's still better than the original image.

Thanks for the feedback. That area is pasture, so it could be lighter than the background mountain. OTOH it's distracting. I'll keep working on this.
