It occurred to me, since I like to photograph my gear a lot, to play a game of Guess that Camera.
It will be posted on my blog (Photographer on Budget (http://photographeronbudget.blogspot.co.uk)) whenever I take one, and I will also post it here for forum members to play along.
Basically, I will shoot a photograph of a camera, a silhouette, or a part of it, that does not show the name and model. There should be clues in the design to distinguish one model from another. I post the picture. You guess the camera.
The first one will be very easy.

Obviously, it' the camera in the back that I am asking about.

Fuji GX680.
-
That was a bit quick. I should make it more difficult next time.
Could you tell which version of the GX680 then? ;)
-
IIIS ?
Peter
-
II ?
Francisco
-
It's the II. The clue would have been the focusing lock in the lower left side of the picture above and the shape of the bridge between the two rails. :D
The next photo is coming soon. ;D
-
And now for the second attempt. Who will know the brand, model, format, year, size and weight of this camera?

Nobody's even trying? C'mon people! It's a beautiful little camera with a great little 50mm f3.5 lens, small in size, 35mm format! Reproduces colours wonderfully on film.
-
But that one's so easy, since the maker and model are so prominently displayed.
It's the well-known BCDEFG model DIN 121518212427 (or, in the USA version, model ASA 122550100200400).
The company name is an acronym for Bolshevik Camera Design Extra Fine Goulash. ::)

Where is the ROFLMAO button?! :D

Voigtlander Vitessa T

Voigtlander Vitessa T
Not with that lens. ;) I left enough clues in the picture frame to pin down the exact model.. almost.
-
Could this be a Voigtlander Vitessa T? Late '50s, interchangeable lenses, sort of. I have a Vitessa L so I have a little edge here.
-
Same as last guess, so not correct.
As nobody has been able to figure this one out, I'm starting to think I should give some clues?
-
It looks like perhaps a Retina Reflex?
-
I like just how difficult this has proved to be. I thought this was one of the very easy ones to make.
I should definitely give hints or post other pictures of other angles. Which do you prefer? ;D

Hints!

Hints!
I brought it down upon myself!! :D Any historical hint I would give is shared between all the models mentioned above.
Therefore, hints will be pictures!!

Voigtlander Vito BL, 1957

Voigtlander Vito BL
BINGO. This is the correct answer.
This is the Vito BL, mine is the one with the Color-Skopar 50mm f3.5 lens, and regular glass-window view finder. You can tell from the thickness of the top silver section. Bright view finder is thicker. and also the built-in light meter which you saw in the first picture.
Depending on your film speed, you choose one of the scales: B, C, D, E, F or G by turning the dial seen in the second picture. This will put corresponding numbers in the light meter next to the needle. You take that value to the front of the lens to decide the correct aperter/shutter combinations for the situation.
I really like the coupled aperture/shutter mechanism found in some of these VITO's (not all of them are coupled).
Let me prepare the following one.

The one thing I was certain of is that it was not any camera I have owned (and I've owned quite a few).
