Title: Moab Slickrock Metallic Pearl profile - odd behavior
Post by: PeterAit on May 22, 2014, 05:25:42 pm
I decided to give this paper a try and downloaded the profile from the Moab site. In Lightroom. when I choose this profile and turn on soft proofing, the image disappears and all I see is a plain white "image" with a few streaks of yellow and pink here and there. Other profiles work file. What's going on? Ideas welcome.

I have the same problem in soft proof and I have found the the profile does not work well on an Epson 7600. I have better results using the Epson Premium Luster profile when printing.

Select Relative for the intent and then deselect "Simulate Paper & Ink"

OK, that got me a viewable image. But, isn't the very basis of softproofing to simulate the paper and ink? More troubling is the fact that turning SP on/off makes not the slightest difference in the image. I am going to contact Moab and will report back.
