Title: Hasselblad H3Dll 39MS - Can I capture to Mac & process in Windows?
Post by: Dinarius on May 10, 2014, 04:49:57 pm
I'm currently capturing to Flexcolor on an old Windows XP laptop, and processing on a powerful desktop.

I want to buy a new laptop that will allow me to capture to Phocus.

I'd like to buy a MacBook Pro and use the Thunderbolt adapter.

But, can I capture multi-shot files to a Mac & process in Windows?

Thanks.

Sure - assuming you're tethering to the Mac, then transferring (somehow, external drive, network, etc) to a Windows machine running a same or later version of the same software.

Steve,

Thanks for the reply.

Just to be clear, when you write "...the same software..." you mean Flexcolor or Phocus, right? Not the OS...?

In other words, I'm assuming I don't have to run some kind of Boot Camp Windows on the Mac. Correct?

Thanks again.

Correct - Both Flexcolor and Phocus are cross-platform.

I have a mildly related question.  I have a new PC for heavy lifting.  If I open a Capture 1 session on it that I shot on my MBP, everything is there except the capture folder (doesn't show up in the session folders).  So, I have to navigate to it and right click "Set as Capture Folder" and then everything is cool.  Any thoughts why this is happening?
