A bit tacky, don't you think?
Indeed.
They're a little contrived, but I don't think I'd call them "tacky"... that connotes that they are tasteless. Pretty work, regardless.
Nice work.

It is certainly fabulous work, but to my taste exaggerated film colours, thick layered symbolism and an extra serving of bubble gum coloured flowers is a bit too much. I almost expected a rainbows shooting unicorn in the last pictures. Not sure what you mean by exaggerated film colours? They were shot of film and scanned, obviously scanning adds a now dimension to just doing a wet print. I like the way colour neg film can be saturated and subdued all at the same time.
But who am I to say so? There certainly is a market for this kind of images and the technique is impressive.

Oh, come on, man! Just admit you are envious! Envy is human. No problem. :)
It doesn't matter if it's done with a crayon or photoshop, 80 mpx or film.
It's a nice unique body of cohesive work, which is very hard to do and takes resource, talent and huge effort.
Personally, I like it a lot but whether it fits anyones personal taste is irrelevant, the effort should be appreciated.
Photography like this is meant to make a small section of the world prettier and more interesting.
That's cool.
IMO
That sums it up nicely.
