Wonderful colour contrast, shapes and textures. The blown-out sky, though, sucks the life out of the photo. Any chance of composition without the sky, but just the hard light on the arch?

Terry has hit the nail on the head.

Terry has hit the nail on the head.
He does that, doesn't he? I wish I could. More worryingly, I wish that blown area had bothered me as much before I read his comment as it does now.
Anyway, here's a fix. It's better than cropping, I think (and I'm sure Russ would agree).

Much better! Fine shot.

I like it but I'm bothered by the amount of blue in the vegetation. Did you raise the saturation, Jeremy?

The blue against the orange makes this image sing...Don't touch it.

Definite improvement to the tonal balance. It works very well as is, but is there any chance of a similar composition with the tree not quite so centred? The arch provides some visual movement, but the tree is static. Just a thought.
