There's new NEC EA304WMi about to come to the market. I had the opportunity to play with it, so here's a couple of my findings

The display features 30" AH-IPS with GBr LED backlight

It has satin finish diffuser

The native behaviour is not that impressing

But here comes the surprise - the display is supported by latest release (1.1.17) of NEC SpectraView II profiler! Here's how it behaves after calibration to D65, g2.2 @160cd/m^2:

Unfortunately there's no 3DLUT, so you may only work in native colour space:

My biggest concern was the potential uniformity issues - it's huge, super-wide gamut display without DUC (Digital Uniformity Compensation), but it's not that bad at all:

I read these early impressions with some interest, as I was trying to decide on a monitor - I was planning to get either one of these, or the NEC PA302xxxx. I went with the PA302 with the NEC-labeled Xrite colorimeter, because the PA302 has digital uniformity correction.
What I'm seeing after calibration, is that there are a couple of rather dark vertical stripes on the monitor. I don't know if the uniformity correction has gone south, or if I have a bad sample. Any comments from other NEC PA302 owners?
I gather that the uniformity correction software runs on Windows only, which is fine, but I haven't tried it.
