Just a heads up to HP z3100 owners (and likely other printers though I haven't checked). There is an update to HP Utility as of April 15, 2014. I'm guessing it's a Heartbleed patch as there has been no update to z3100 hardware / software for a couple of years now.

Hi Roscolo
I was wondering if you have experienced any issues when you updated to the new HP print utility.
I have a Z3100 running Mac OS 10.8.5 and on past experience upgrading
HP software can be a bit of nightmare, so I would be grateful to hear your experience.
Thanks

Upgrading to this new HP Utility has had no ill effects. I'm running OS 10.9.2.

Hi Roscolo,
thanks for sharing. Are there any new features included not available in the previous versions? Couldn't find something helpfull on the HP driver update site.
I had received a notification from HP via email in April, but have not upgraded yet to avoid settin up paper and customized format settings repeatedly.

I just installed it yesterday. Works fine. Didn't notice any dramatic difference. I'm still guessing it had something to do with Heartbleed vunerability.
