I like it, especially the moss and the light on it. Square crop works well here. I'm not sure that the snow on the ground is a good thing - too many bright spots but I'm really not sure about my remark (so you can ignore it ;-)  ).

What catches my eye, and therefore my interest, is the beautiful backlighting on the moss emphasizing that wonderful texture and green colour. Other than that - meh – too many distractions that don't add to the image.

Thanks for the comments. I find photographing the forest very challenging. I have trouble finding good compositions with all the chaos.

I hike around the forest with my 180mm viewfinder from my horseman 617. It helps me find the composition I want. You could make a framing card for your aspect ratio for your camera. Just a thought.
