Title: good speakers for home computer?
Post by: studio347 on April 25, 2014, 11:35:52 pm
Not sure if this is right place...
but can you guys recommend good speakers for macbook pro?
I will use mostly at home on table next macbook pro.
I have iphone 5s, so, some wireless connection might be helpful. But not a must.
100-300$ range.. 2.0 or 2.1 system would be nice.
Simple or nice design would be good.
Thanks in advance.

The Klipsch G-17 is really, really good from bass through treble (high end). bass is the best I've found in this proce range. http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-G-17-Air-Wireless-System/dp/B005KTNV70/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1398532565&sr=8-1&keywords=Klipsch+G-17

If you don't need wireless, these are great for the money.  If you are buying used, make sure they are fairly recent because older units had problems with bad capacitors over time:

These are no longer available new but you can find them used.  I love mine.  Channels for two input sources, one optical ( I have two computers so its a perfect match), great front panel controls and a line out for a sub woofer.  I added a 10 inch Sony to my set.

They are also branded as Calkwalk and Edirol
