Title: Barracas Mozambique
Post by: William Walker on April 23, 2014, 04:58:56 am
A "Barracas" is usually a small Mozambican pub found in most villages - this one is a bit of an all-rounder, selling both booze and fashion.

This is a bit different from what I usually post.

Such a iconic building/service in so many developing nations. The only thing missing are the people! There are always a few hanging around, if not swarms during parts of the day, or even people walking past.

Just the guy behind the counter, Terry. It was early evening and fires were being made and supper cooked.

The stuff on the shelves inside the store make me think of shops like this in Southeast Asia. It's a fine shot, William.

Just the guy behind the counter...

I didn't notice him! He does help to give the a human face.
