Have just found that a crop gives it even more pleasant.

Good light quality. I find that the juxtaposition of the flowers in the foreground with the trees in the background, somehow does not work very well.

I like the idea and how the sun is handled but I'm not so sure about the wall (especially on the left).

Lots of good elements here, but plants are hard to bring out. Your minimalist shot is one approach that works well.
