Title: canon ST-E3-RT with Hasselblad H camera??
Post by: cmykphoto on April 04, 2014, 08:34:34 pm
wanted to use canon ST-E3-RT on my Hasselblad H2 to trigger several cannon 600ex flashes...but couldn't work together, bought a Pc to sub mini (mono) cable from BH, but still didn't work...for canon ST-E3-RT, a sub mini stereo cable will work, but on the market, couldn't find sub mini stereo to PC cable.

any help??

I haven't used the ST-E3 but have used the ST-E2 and expect it to be the same. Unless the Camera is ETTL (=Canon) then you can only use manual flash and only with the centre pin only. I used to use a piece of film ( what we used to take photos on before digital) cut to the size of the hotshot and only the centre pin exposed. It then worked OK.

thanks Bob,

I have tried that to block other pins except the centre pin, it works fine with Canon 600EX with H2, but when doing the same way to put ST-E3 on the H2 body, no result...
