Basically yes.
But I think you might save it in post with toning and local dodging and burning.

Mainly shadow & highlights / a little CURVES ,,  I use the INFO > to check the final numbers,,,, Will look to see if anything is out of line ...needs dodging & burning.

It looks like that rock is going to jump right off of the beam.  However, I miss the end grain of the window sill.

I'd like to vote for the square, but I'll reluctantly go for #2 also.
Its only problem is that if it isn't square, it doesn't look like a Cjogo!  ;)

I must have shot at least 80+% work with square -- that's my signature for sure... few years with 4X5 and 35mm ;-)
