Title: Voigtlander 12mm f/5.6 Lens for Leica Monochrome / Fuji
Post by: alajuela on February 19, 2014, 09:04:34 am
Hi

I wonder if anybody has any experiences with the Voigtlander Heliar Ultra Wide-Angle 12mm f/5.6 Lens on the X-Pro 1 I am thinking or also using it on the Lecia monochrome so it would have an "M" mount.

I have heard that the 12mm throws off (correctable in post) color caste in the corner, but the Fuji being a cropped sensor - possible does not have this problem. And the Monochrome being black and white should not be effected - right?  Is vignetting a problem?

Any comments are appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

I rented one not long after the X-Pro1 came out, I found I did not like the rendering or the IQ from the lens. So I waited for the Fuji 14mm, and that is a vastly better lens on the Fuji. I have no experience with the Leica. Just my opinion, I also found it had a much warmer tone almost a yellowish cast when compared to the Fuji glass.
