this afternoon I had 2 hours to get out and go into the seashore
-
Love the color and atmosphere. Not crazy about the tree trunk. I think it detracts from an otherwise beautiful, peaceful scene.
-
It made more sense when I opened your picture, but when I just looked at the thumbnail after reading the thread title, I thought someone had mutilated an elephant.
-
It is a nice scene, beautiful lighting. I too was left thinking how it would look like without the trunk!
-
Really nice light on this - I like the trunk in the image.
-
Another vote for keeping the trunk.
-
The reddish teint on the trunk indeed makes it look a bit like a bleeding severed limb.
But it is not.
Its a tree.
This bloodthirsty cruel notion contrasts with the reality of that thing - being just a tree trunk in beautiful light with beautiful colors around.
I like this - because it confronts us (certain people who see it like this) with the fact of our occasional cruel fantasies.
Great shot !
Cheers

it is so beautiful, grand sight! So great!

Still on the Versillia coast? The colors are very complementary between the sky, the waters and the sand.
Well done again!
-
yes on the Versilia coast.
In Camera Raw I made the white balance because it was too magenta.

I like it. I'd rather the trunk be closer to the bottom of the frame or maybe come out of. The rest of the image is very well done.
