I've been asked to look into selling a used Epson 7900. Inks are roughly half full (mostly 150s) plus three spare cartridges. Selling prices on eBay range from $999 to $1800. I was surprised at the $1800, but that's why I'm looking for input on the forum What do you think is a fair price?
thanks.

Depends on the condition, whether it's been serviced, any faults (e.g. clogs), etc.
Sometimes, a few simple fixes, e.g. unclogging heads, can greatly increase the sale price of a printer.

I wouldn't buy a used printer without really inspecting it and seeing its output. If any shortcoming is identified, I wouldn't buy it regardless of price.
That being said, $1800 seems a bit high for a used 7900. New is not much more.
Tyler has a 9900 for sale for $1800--- and a 44" printer has more capability.

Depends - the Epson 7900 sells for around $8500 here in Australia, and the 9900 around $13000. If you can get a cheaper deal of Ebay, even if you have to replace a printer head or two, it works out much cheaper. Doubly so for Roland printers.
