Pt Lobos ... View East

A really nice composition and treatment (the sepia effect looks brilliant) spoilt only a bit by the halo along the line of the hills.

thanks TONY -- what halo ?? A few clouds -- --yellow filter .. Definitely some grain -- shot in the early 80's.

Hi, I liked it. I notice the halo too, and it might well be a scanning artifact (not uncommon)
-
Yes, on review there definitely is a halo to me.
This a not uncommon artefact of blue sky meeting yellow/orange rocks, terrain etc.
The result is a white halo.
I don't know whether this phenomenon is the genesis of what I am seeing or not because I have no idea of colours are involved but it does seem possible.
It is easily fixable but requires a trip into Photoshop and some nifty work with layers.

Is it like a "white glow" ---just along the mountain ridge ??

This is a fairly new scanner -- not nearly the quality I have been use to for years ... could be some real artifacts .
