It really is a marvellous landscape. Last time I was there was in thick mist & rain, but very still down out of the wind. Quite eerie, with the sound of falling rocks, not seen because of the mist, and the cawing of the ravens as they wheeled around the cliffs. A superb location. Not that I'm in any way jealous.

Yes you are correct Bill, the weather up here can be fickle to say the least. This was a cold and squally day, with plenty of horizontal sleet stinging our faces, but I had a feeling that the light would break through eventually, so I thought we should wait it out and luckily I was proved right and it was worth it I think.

I had never heard of this artist until now, so having just watched several youtube videos about him and his work, I now do and so thank you so much for pointing me towards him and especially for comparing my shot to his style, I am very flattered  ;D

Boy, I feel spoilt right about now.

The quality of images posted in the last couple of days has been breathtaking and this one is simply glorious.

I bet the light was exceptionally gloomy that day yet you have managed to capture such wonderfully subtle tonality.
A great effort that deserves applause.

BTW I hope you going to make a ginormous print and hang it on a wall somewhere.

Thanks again everyone and yes Tony this one is definitely going to be printed, but perhaps just a 12x18 to begin with to see how it looks  ;)
