From Haschbach in Germany close to Ramstein...Winter's mood.
-
It may sound cruel, but I'd crop away from the background and the left to emphasize these gorgeous trees in the foreground.
Very beautiful, moody shot.

Interesting! Thanks for the suggestion.

I think I would like the shot both ways but they would be very different shots with different visual dynamics. Excellent either way.

Yes, they would be very different pictures, both very good. Chris's suggested crop would be simpler, emphasizing the trees.
I think my preference is for the original, with the added complexity of the distant hills.

I think that's a very good suggestion...

...you might look at it and see how that works...the distant bg is almost another image and seems to add "static" to the foreground element /B

The crop might work, but I like the layers in the image as is.

This is the crop I printed on my Canon 9500 MKII. Thoughts??
-
Very different images, both nice.

What about using the Content Aware Scale tool in PS to narrow the white gap in the upper part of the image to please the protagonists in the post? It would possibly make a fine image even finer? ;) :)

Hmmmm. Sounds like a challenge to me!
