If she's gonna emerge she'd better get on with it.

Okay then, I'll remove her sunglasses for the moment... She was wondering why I'd wanted her to wear them today - it's pretty much wall-to-wall grey out there. And wet. However, I pick up my first pair of distance specs this afternoon; perhaps the weather will look better? Or worse?

Speaking of sunglasses: I was on a shoot in Spain for a travel company back in '67, I think, and the lad who'd been entrusted to steer me around their locations wore sunglasses after dark. I thought that pretty cool, and for a while I did the same to all the nightspots and restaurants we visited. Then, I made the mistake of asking him about the habit: his response about an eye problem deflated me rather a bit - well, not enough to stop me wearing them for a few days more, but I did feel a bit daft inside... oh youth!
