Title: Hasselblad V to Contax adapter and Hasselblad V to H adapter
Post by: EinstStein on January 12, 2014, 02:15:17 pm
The Hasselblad V lens to Contax-645 body adapter is about $50 through the ebay. China made.
But Hasselblad V lens to H adapter is extremely expensive, $1095. Hasselblad made.

Why there is no third party V to H adapter, something similar to the V to Contax-645?

Does leaf-shutter vs, focal-plane ring a bell? You have to set manually the leaf shutter of CF lenses to "open" when you use them on the Contax (so that they behave like lenses that have no leaf-shutter build in), but with Hass H, the CF lenses operate as leaf-shutter lenses. In other words the H to V adapter has a build in mechanism to make leaf-shutter operation possible.
