Title: isis versions
Post by: William Morse on December 22, 2013, 12:43:12 pm
I'm thinking of buying a used isis about 4 years old. Are there any differences between then and the current version? I will be using it with i1profiler.

Thanx for any insights.

Bill

There is a major difference between Rev C and Rev D units in how the product measures white. Unless you need to correleate measurement data with others, in which case you both need the same Rev, probably nothing to worry about.

Thanks, Andrew.

Will the older version (serial # high 300's) do the OBC correction, using i1Profiler, or will I have to get an add-on?

All versions should if you have that package (targets and software). Again, the issue would be if you were working with more than one unit and they had these different versions (Rev A-C vs. E). Comparing measurements from the same target would produce about a dE of 2 of whites and nearby those tones.
