I got my Fuji X-E2 yesterday and thought I'd give it a lowlight stress test.
Here are some first results. C&C welcome as usual.

To that, I'd add The Skinner, both shots seeming to show what the camera looks well capable of doing. I think the fast-focussing was one of the attractions of the machine. (Now don't tell me you mf'ed it!)

All shots were hand held, Auto ISO, mostly at 6400 ASA.
Noise is totally manageable and pleasing.
AF was super fast, I had the camera switched off between my fleece jacket and my Goretex jacket, pulled it out, switched on, shot.
The speed of this camera together with the other technical bells and whistles makes it perfect for street photography.
Flash slow sync along with controlling flash power is great - I need to learn that better, but its a great feature.
Its love on the first sight.
I'm very very pleased with this first experience, and I feel a great relief now having a capable digital system.
I'll keep my Mamiya 7 II for landscape and "big" images, maybe I'll replace or supplement it with a tech camera later,
but for now this camera is exactly what I needed.
Strongly recommended.
And yes - I'm happy NOT to have a Leica -
The fast and accurate AF (including face recognition if needed) kicks butt and the lowly capabilities ;) are great.
The user interface is easy to learn, fast and intuitive.

Look at the Lampmaker, for instance, and stand in shock & awe how far we've progressed since the film days! Shooting at 6400 ISO and retaining important shadow and highlight detail!

Apart from convenience and running costs, that hi-speed ability is why I can't see myself ever dumping the D700.
My PS computer died again last night and came back to life (as only computers and Lazarus can) this evening! It gave me an opportunity to process yesterday's cellix attempt at the Coke theme. Boy, what a diffence between real camera and cellphone!
But the darned camera weighs a ton, which I believe the Fuji does not...

When I saw this bike with its reflecting wheels I knew that was to moment to pull out the flash for a little fill in light.
Thanks for all the nice feedback everyone - makes me feel very good to see I can produce something acceptable from day zero with this little gem of camera.

Wonderful images~! --- not sure the ISO -- but the quality is way beyond my little 60d Canon --
Of course :: I am coming from the days when everything was tripod > 1/4 sec to 3 minutes when I traveled -- 400 ISO was tops ...my Canon digital still does look good beyond ISO 500.

You might be shocked to hear that everything was shot hand-held, often at 6400 ISO.
For web display more than good enough quality.
The OIS of the system also works very well.
