Looks like you are having a fine trip. Images of the Grand Canyon are always worth looking at, thanks for sharing. Can't wait for another sunset photo.

Chris-
I live in the area so it's not a trip just a visit.
I'll try to work on that sunset photo for ya'.
:)

No fair, I had a week in the area and that was all. One of the nicest places to live.

Alberta isn't too shabby.
Don't complain.

It's not the traditional Toroweap photo and I like it a lot. It gives an idea of the river, the canyon and the surroundings.

Nice shot man. I wanted to shoot from that view also at sunset but I didn't get a chance. I did shoot from the traditional sunrise location but there were very little clouds to make the scene more dramatic. When clouds finally showed up, good light already went away. :(
I'll come back there next year...maybe I'll get lucky :)

Thanks. Glad you liked it.
Much appreciated.
Check out the shots of Whitmore Canyon I posted.
You should like those too.

I love the composition, it really shows some nice depth and there is a nice balance in the foreground. But I find the tonemapping too much in the middle ground and the sky in particular needs re-working. The foreground doesn't have these tonemapping artifacts and is very pleasant, although I think you could try it with slightly softer light, this might allow the bush to have a better contrast with the rock (bottom right).

Thanks for the feedback.
