Title: Fall time in the UK
Post by: northern chris on November 16, 2013, 09:00:54 am
Couple of fall images from the UK.  Both take on slightly foggy days, one at Chatsworth and the other taken near Windsor.

I like both.
Beautiful.

But the 2nd one is truly outstanding.

I'd have that one hanging on my wall.

Thanks for the fine comments.  I'm currently in the middle east, so I have to keep looking through my photos to remind me what fall can be like.

That's my thought, too.

You do know we don't have Fall over here. We have Autumn. Just saying  ;)

Oh, and that second photo is a beaut.

Oh, and that second photo is a beaut.

Totally agree, very nice use of the light, excellent shot - a slight bit of a halo on the large tree to the left where it meets the lighter background, although this could be as a result of the Jpg compression, but if not it could be very easily fixed with the clone tool.

Thanks for posting  :)

First one's very nice, but I miss the tops of the trees in the centre of the frame.  The second one is definitely worth a print.

Like the 2nd too, especialy because of the tree curve who makes framing.

The second is outstanding. Worth the effort to find the scene.

Agree on both counts. (Presumably he is an American domiciled in UK, Bill.)

Autumn really arrived late this year. I managed to get my first images of autumn colours in the past week and a ;lot of trees here in Scotland are still green.

Some frosty weather forecast for the coming week but I will be in America. Sod's Law!!

I grew up and went to school in Alberta but have had the opportunity to spend the better part of the past four years in the UK.  I have even had the chance to see a fair bit of Scotland.  :)

Both images are beautiful and the framing on the second one is exquisite.

#2 has some magical quality to the light.

Wonderful light, and very effective framing of the image in #2.
